Service Overview
Radiator hoses carry scalding coolant under pressure. Age makes them soft, swollen and weak — and a burst hose empties the cooling system in about a minute.
Service involves the upper and/or lower radiator hose, new constant-tension clamps, coolant replacement for the lost volume, bleed and pressure test.
Signs You Need This Service
- Hose feels squishy or crunchy when squeezed
- Swelling near the clamps
- White/green crust at connections
- Coolant smell after parking
Consequences of Ignoring It
- Sudden burst = immediate overheat, possible engine damage
- Slow leaks destroying belts and electricals below
- Stranding — cooling failures rarely pick good moments
Recommended Service Interval
Inspect from year 6; replace by 8–10 years or at any softness.
Price & Time

Final price may vary by distance, vehicle, service details, after-hours requests, emergency availability, or service area minimums.
How location affects pricing
Your listed service price is based on the repair itself. Because we are a mobile service, final pricing may also depend on your distance from our service area, appointment time, urgency, vehicle details, and repair conditions.
- Within 15 miles$125 minimum service total
- 15–30 miles$150 minimum service total
- 30+ milesContact for quote
- After-hours+$75 when available
- Emergency / priority+$150 when available
Minimum service totals are not added on top of larger services — they only apply when a fixed-price service is below the minimum for your location. Distance fees typically begin outside our standard 15-mile service area.
Pricing shown is our listed service price — parts and fluids are quoted at cost where applicable, and your exact flat quote is confirmed before any work begins.
